I needed to read this! Most of my 'sins' are not ever act out, but they live in the 'inner neighborhood' of my mind where I act out my little soap operas, and usually just like soap operas, they keep getting longer and longer and more twisted. And I don't even like soap operas! I also just read your book and very much enjoyed it- i am going to give myself permission to actively explore ways to pray and not confine myself to what works for others or are 'most appropriate'. There were a lot of other things you mentioned that helped me get insight on why we pray and what prayer is. Thank you!

What a delightful time! My daughter and I picked wild blueberries recently from some incredibly abundant bushes in a gorgeous place. I love those times of being disconnected from technology and being so much more present relationally and spiritually. Sweet times of prayer, fellowship and worship.

Good Morning.

What a great idea, to have a 'parking lot' box for all those distracting thoughts.

I'm often distracted and therefore, there are times I simply just give up making the attempt to connect with God at that particular moment...........obviously not fully realizing that even in my distractedness, He is attempting to speak to me.

As always, I enjoy your blogs - so thank you. And God Bless! Jo.

Thanks, Melissa. Writing a blog has helped me to "get practical" rather than just have theoretical ideas slosh around my head. I'm glad you liked Praying in Color. God's Peace, Sybil

Congrats to you and your family. It is nice to be able to pray for good things and not always illness and death. Enjoy that new baby! I'm so grateful to be a grandma of three darling girls as well!

Fine. If you can resist munching that cheek, please do, but I say there is research to be done on a possible physiological link between grandparenting and cannibalism...

Joining you in a joyful chorus of Welcome to the World, Clara Mae, and wishing the whole family lovely moments of deep connections.
